SPORTWOOD ULTRA STAR

SPORTWOOD ULTRA STAR

Sportwood Ultra Star is solidly constructed of beautiful MFMA Parquet edge-grain northern hard maple and features an

adaptable, “tunable” resilient underlayment. The maple parquet surface (aka Sportwood) is adhered to multiple layers of

stabilizing load-distribution subfloor, sitting atop a matrix of our EPDM rubber Bio-Pads. These pads can be adjusted, or “tuned,”

to your desired level of shock absorption, making Sportwood Ultra Star ideal for any number of activities including; aerobics, basketball, volleyball, or multi-purpose rooms. In addition to this safety feature, Sportwood Ultra Star is the most dimensionally stable maple parquet product on the market, able to withstand even extreme moisture conditions.

FLOOR SYSTM TECH

FLOOR SYSTEM TECHNOLOGY

Sportwood Ultra Star continuous subfloor - Floor Systm Technology

Continuous Subfloor

Continuous Subfloor technology creates a consistent and uniform playing surface that is ideal for facilities that have heavy equipment or loads that could impact the floor. A Continuous Subfloor minimizes the risk of damage to the floor surface and subfloor under exposure to excessive weight.

Sportwood Ultra Star Floating System - Floor System Technology

Floating System

Robbins Floating gym floor systems are not mechanically fastened to the substrate below. Floating systems are an economical solution that is also easier and faster to install. The shock absorption and resiliency of a floating floor can be tuned for end user comfort using a variety of system types and pad options.

Low Profile

Robbins Low Profile systems are designed for facilities that do not have a slab depression in their current athletic space. Low profile systems are shorter in height and easier to ramp for transitioning to other areas. Perfect for retrofit installations as well.

THIRD GRADE

Highest grade is the clearest, most uniform in appearance and is practically free of all defects. Slight shadows and color variations may occur with the use of some finishes.

The most common grade has more variation in color than 1st grade. Clear or white boards can be mixed with amber ones. Slight streaks and knots are admitted, but not on the ends or edges of the strips.

This grade presents a greater variation in color and contrast, accentuates the wood grain and enhances design options, including the Boston Square® option.
